
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – JK FOODS - TIGER TIGER
We have a genuinely exciting Business Development Manager’s opportunity in frozen and ambient. From humble beginnings selling ethnic food on a market stall we have grown through 4 decades to become a leading importer of ethnic foods selling across a wide range of markets – grocery multiples, convenience, food service, catering, end users. Each product (own label and branded) is carefully sourced from the country of origin capturing its unique richness and character and impeccable quality control ensures their products are leading the field across all categories.
On its simplest terms this role is all about GROWTH. You will sell into all major channels including supermarkets, convenience, foodservice, cash and carry, pub groups, key end users. Reporting directly into the senior team this offers you an ability to come onboard whilst the category is still in its infancy and take it to the next level and beyond – the sky is the limit. We are incredibly passionate about our brands and now need you to take them to market.
• Previous experience of growing and developing food (ambient / frozen) sales across multiple channels.
• Opening doors and business development come naturally to you and in some areas relationships are already in place that you can use to develop sales growth.
• You have demonstrable drive and enthusiasm, you love developing brands and bringing ideas to the table and in some cases taking risks.
• Experience of working in the branded and own label food sector is important with frozen food experience beneficial but not essential.
• You have a well rounded personality with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Most importantly you relish business development in FMCG sales and you actually want to make a real difference and not just be a number in another generic sales role.

As a family business with more than thirty years’ experience of supplying the catering trade, JK is a leading name in ethnic foodservice and part of the Hyperama group - we have some ambitious plans, which you will make happen.
Building our client base in the ethnic catering market, you will focus on fast food outlets and Indian and Chinese restaurants among others. You’ll need great relationship management skills, innate commercial acumen and a pioneering spirit.
Able to work on your own initiative, you’ll be a highly organised and hungry self-starter. A flexible approach to working hours is needed as hours may vary depending on customer requirements
Ideally you’ll join us with a proven record in the ethnic food industry and good contacts in Indian, Chinese and fast food outlets, and you’ll certainly be ready to do whatever it takes to drive the bottom line.
